se que ha escrito mucho en el foro sobre esto pero ya probe todo lo que sugieren ahi y nada, el web mail me sale un error :Error conectando al servidor IMAP: localhost.

ya revise todo lo aconsejan en los anteriores post y nada hay un test en el squirrelmail y ahi me dice que es un error en la direccion del sendmail hice un find en el server y probe con todas las direcciones del sendmail y nada

Sabes que con el enlace que Raza te recomendó crear debió funcionar. Sin embargo puedes modificar el archivo /ruta_de_squirrelmail/config/config.php, y cambiar una línea:
Busca:
$sendmail_path = '/usr/lib/sendmail';
Y cambiale por:
$sendmail_path = '/usr/sbin/sendmail';
Ojala sea solo eso... veamos.

Una vez me paso
Una vez me paso que no me jalaba el squirrell y despues de tanto decidi descargar la version mas estable del site de ellos.
A veces esa puede ser la solución, supongo que el sendmail se encuentra correctamente configurado y funcionando.

date cuenta en la salida de echo $sendmail_path; para ver si realmente esa variable esta almacenando lo que debe. Sino bajate la ultima estable y vuelve a instalar
