Que tal, quisera me ayuden con una consulta, tengo problemas con el servidor FTP, esta monstado en centos 5, y funciona aparentemente normal, el caso es que cuando ingreso con un usuario y este genera una nueva carpeta la misma es creada con los permisos: dr-xr--r-x, por lo que no me deja crear archivos no directorios dentro de la carpeta que se ha creado, como puedo hacer para que al carpeta generada automaticamente cuente con los permisos necesarios para la creacion de otros directorios y archivos dentro de la misma???

Raro, generalmente se crean

Raro, generalmente se crean con "drwxr--r-x". ¿qué programa estás usando? ¿vsftpd?

revisa si en el archivo de configuración tienes alguna configuración que sea algo parecido a "mask"

La verdad no tengo mucha experiencia en esto del servidor ftp, te copio el cat del vsftpd.conf:

Existe algun error aca?? el valor local_umask ya lo he cambiado pero no da resultado.

Probé tu archivo de

Probé tu archivo de configuración en mi máquina y el local_umask 666 causa que los permisos tengan ese formato. Con el cambio que Edwin te recomendó se arregla. Para especificar el umask en octal coloca un 0 delante, de lo contrario vsftpd lo considera un entero en base 10. Asegúrate que tu archivo tenga local_umask=022 y reinicia el servicio.

Ahora me doy cuenta por qué:

Ahora me doy cuenta por qué: 666 base 10 = 1232 base 8. Esto resulta para los permisos de nuevos directorios en 00777 & 01232 = 0545 = r-xr--r-x que es lo que te da umask=666 interpretado en base 10 como lo hace vsftp cuando no pones el 0 delante.
